Choose which treatment best suits your needs:
Our remedial therapists have taken advanced training in a broad range of massage therapy techniques to identify the underlying cause of pain or disfunction. Or perhaps your needing a good massage to release tight muscles and identify areas of weakness. Complementary stretches or exercises can also be given to assist in maintenance of you continuing to FEEL GOOD.
Remedial massage locates areas of the body that may be tight, tense, weak or damaged and speeds up the body’s own natural healing processes. The pressure applied in this healing treatment can either be strong and deep or gentle and shallow, depending on the problem and on the body’s needs. Problems with the muscles can trigger or radiate pain to other parts of the body. Therapeutic remedial massage aims to trace the original reason for the pain, tackling both the cause of the problem and the symptoms.
All of our Remedial Massage therapists are able to offer Private Health fund rebates for this service.

All of our remedial massage team can compliment your massage with Myofascial Cupping; Cupping is a form of traditional medicine used by many cultures since ancient times. It is much like a reverse massage where instead of compression into the soft tissue, suction is applied as the therapist applies the cups and uses a pump to remove the air, pulling the tissues into the cups. This has been shown to create movement and gliding of the tissues beneath the surface, decrease muscle tension and increase blood flow which in turn helps, nourish the area with oxygen and aid in healing.
We also have Will offering Dry Needling as an option with remedial treatments.
Generally dry needling is pain free. You may feel tingling or twitching as the needle goes into the muscle and does its job to bring blood flow to the specific area. It is a safe and effective treatment and needed for those who have severe muscle and tissue damage. Dry needling’s main focus is to reduce muscle spasms and provide pain relief.
An invigorating and revitalizing massage treatment. Targeting the reduction of tension, it focuses on the deeper layers of muscles far below the body surface. Deep tissue massage offers both physical and psychological benefits. It can relieve muscle pain and stiffness and provide relaxation for the body and mind.
Add cupping therapy for an even deeper treatment to promote blood flow and oxygen through the muscle tissue.
The health benefits of a Relaxation Massage include;
- Gently releasing muscle knots
- Restoring natural body alignment
- Promotes the “Rest and Digest” response of the parasympathetic nervous system
- Improve circulation and skin tone
- Reduce pain in the body
- Connect mind and body
Relaxation massage acts like a break, promoting the “Rest & Digest” response that calms the mind and body down. It is designed to help you naturally unwind. This is a massage for those who are needing to rest with little to no effort.
This style of massage focuses on reducing tension and is a good choice for when you want to fully relax and let go of the day.
Manual lymphatic drainage massage is an advanced massage technique that focuses on stimulating the lymph vessels to decongest and promote lymph flow and drainage. It also assists with detoxification to stimulate the immune system and parasympathetic nervous system (our rest and digest system), aiding the natural healing response of the body.

A Fat Disorder- Not Obesity
What does it look like?
Initially, lipoedema in it’s early stages is often just a disproportionate “pear” shape figure. One part of the body (mostly hips and upper thighs or arms) tend to be larger than the rest of the body. The skin starts smooth, but as the condition progresses, the skin often develops an appearance of orange peel and beneath the skin you may feel little nodules of fat like peas under he skin.
What are the symptoms of having lipoedema?
- A feeling of heaviness in the legs or arms
- Spider or varicose veins
- Unexplained weight gain
- Bruise easily and sensitive to pain
- Difficulty in losing weight on legs or arms
- Cold to touch legs or arms
Manual lymphatic drainage massage can aid in reducing the progression of lipoedema, help smooth skin texture and relieve feelings of tired and heavy limbs. During your treatment other self-help techniques such as dry body brushing, compression garments, appropriate exercise and the use of a Sequential Intermittent Pneumatic Compression (SIPC) unit can be discussed.
Lymphoedema is a swelling of a part of the body, usually a limb and can occur as a side effect of cancer treatment when lymph nodes have been removed or damaged. This causes lymph fluid to build up in tissue under the skin.
Symptoms of lymphoedema can include:
- visible swelling
- an aching or tingling feeling
- being unable to fully move the affected limb
- tightness or heaviness of the limb
- pitting of the skin
There is no cure for lymphoedema. The aim of the treatment is to improve the flow of lymph fluid through the affected area. This will help reduce swelling and improve the health of the swollen tissue. Reducing the swelling will lower the risk of infection, make movement easier and more comfortable, and improve overall well-being.
During your treatment other management techniques can be discussed such as skin care, compression garments, appropriate exercise and the use of a Sequential Intermittent Pneumatic Compression (SIPC) unit.

Reflexology is a massage treatment that uses pressure on the “reflex” areas of the feet and hands.
These correspond to specific organs, through energetic pathways and glands. The pressure sends signals that balance the nervous system or release chemicals such as endorphins that reduce pain and stress.
This treatment promotes relaxation, improves circulation, reduces pain, soothes tired feet or hands, and encourages an overall feeling of healing.
